teaches me something, whether big or small. And when you love a dog, you realize that one day your heart will be broken. However, if you choose to not share you life with a dog to avoid the pain when they leave you, you also avoid the wonderous journey they take you on. A quote I have hanging on my wall states (and I do not know the author) "When a dog steps on your heart, he leaves a pawprint forever". How true..........
